We have been repairing Grand Banks swim platforms for years, but there are cases where replacement is the better option. In the photos below you can see how badly damaged this one is. In addition to the damage, the glue has failed on many of the spacer blocks.
A replacement platform was ordered, which is better than original. As you can see in the photo, this one is "beefy" — it will take more than a casual encounter to damage this one. In addition to the thicker teak and the wider solid sections, this one boasts stainless steel rubrail all around. While everything is apart, it is also a good time to give the brackets a thorough scraping, sanding and painting.
