Sea strainer service
Almost all the Grand Banks we see have the very expensive Groco Seawater Strainer combos. When they need replacing, it is a very expensive proposition. We can service these strainers to bring them to like new condition. Remember that strainers need to be serviced like any other mechanical system on your boat. If you have strainers with rubber instead of the teflon seating, use only white lithium lube or equivalent lubricant. Other lubes will attract and hold dirt.
Above you can see the original handle is bent, probably due to the lack of lubrication making the strainer too hard to shut off. On the right, we have had cleaned the strainer and had heavy duty handles made to fit.
