Grand Banks Bearing Replacement

Replacing the bearings in a Grand Banks is not a job for the inexperienced. Our service department has the right tools to do the job. Our hydraulic ram does quick work of removing all but the most stubborn of bearings.

But removing and replacing the cutlass bearings is only part of the job. While everything is apart, it is a good time to clean and service all the drive train parts.

  1. Shafts get rough cleansed to allow removal through bearings
  2. Shafts get removed
  3. Bearings get hydraulically removed
  4. Stuffing boxes and couplings get removed and taken to the shop
  5. Shafts get cleaned and fine sanded
  6. Stuffing boxes and related equipment get wire brushed and cleaned up
  7. New bearings are pressed into place
  8. All equipment is reinstalled
  9. Engines are aligned
