What products qualify for ESC?
ESC is available for new engines used in marine applications in two service areas : the continental boundariese of the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada (U.S. territories excluded); and the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and Mexico. ESC is available for most diesel engine models including the 3100, 3176, 3196, 3208, 3300, 3400, and 3500 series. ESC is also available for new Caterpillar generators and marine gears sold with a new Caterpillar engine. It must be purchased at the same time the engine ESC is purchased. Consult your Caterpillar dealer for more specific information.
What ESC doesn't cover
- Normal wearout
- Maintenance items
- Failures caused by operator abuse
- Failures resulting from unauthorized repairs or adjustments
- Non Caterpillar components
- Reimbursements for any downtime or economic loss
- Any and all applicable taxes, travel and mileage
