Vessel Walkthrough & Accommodations
"Southern Isles" is a two stateroom vessel with the traditional Grand Banks 42 Classic layout. Starting at the bow and moving aft - the forward cabin has a large “V” berth, hanging locker, drawers and private head with shower. Up a few steps to the salon, a helm is to starboard. Door to starboard leads to wide side decks with bulwarks, bronze stanchions and varnished hand rails. Full galley to port; aft of galley is another door leading to the port side decks. There is a settee aft of door with aft corner cabinetry with a TV. To starboard aft of the helm is a cabinet & L-shaped dinette w/fold-down teak table. Port setee has extender cushion for added sleeping berth, if desired. The aft cabin is down a few steps and has a starboard double berth, drawers, plenty of shelves and storage. The head is to starboard with a separate shower. To port is a LARGE closet with two doors. Aft of that is a single berth. Aft stateroom has Marine Air A/C system.

Forward Stateroom
The forward guest cabin V-berths have teak ceiling boards on the hull sides. The hanging locker in this stateroom is to port with two sliding doors. The head has a moulded counter, head and hand held shower with teak grate and automatic drain pump. Going up the 4 steps to the salon, there are two drawers on the port side for additional storage.

Saloon
The Saloon is also the traditional layout with the galley forward and to port followed by a port side door to the wide teak side decks. In the aft corner, against the bulkhead is a small cabinet with TV and drawers and stereo. Directly across is an L-settee against the aft and starboard bulkhead. This is faced by the standard Grand Banks drop leaf table. The dry bar (stores glasses) is forward of the settee. The lower helm is forward and to starboard with a starboard side deck door. The helm location has all the requisite Morse engine controls and gauges with the AC and DC control panels located to lower starboard of helm.
