Interior Layout
Entering the main salon through the door on the starboard side you are at the main helm. There is the traditional Grand Banks wheel with a chart locker to port. Forward of the wheel there is ample room for Navigation equipment in comfortable reach and view. Across from the helm station is the galley with a single stainless steel sink, Raritan microwave, 3 burner gas Princess stove and oven, and the Norcold refrigerator under the counter. Aft is the main salon with a bench seat down the port side and an "L" settee opposite with the Grand Banks drop leaf table. The medium blue upholstery is recent, and in excellent condition. All the side windows are screened. Down the aft steps into the aft cabin there is a double berth to starboard and a single to port with a 5 drawer bureau beneath the folding aft companionway steps. The head is to starboard at the foot of the double berth. In the head there is a Raritan manual head with a Tankwatch 4 system. The sink is white porcelean with white countertops and varnished teak trim on white cabinetry. The shower has a teak grate sole. There is storage beneath both the berths, and an ample hanging locker at the foot of the single berth. In the forward cabin there is a generous vee berth with 4 drawers beneath, also recently upholstered. At the foot of the port berth there is a large hanging locker, and 2 drawers up and aft which are perfect for galley utensils. The head is at the foot of the starboard berth with a large varnished teak door for privacy. There is a teak grate in the shower, a Groco manual head, a white porcelean sink with a 2 door cabinet under the counter, and a 2 door cabinet above. All the hanging locker and stateroom doors are louvred, varnished, teak. The varnished parquet floor is in good condition, as is all the varnished teak trim. The engine room and bilges are easily accessed through hatches in the salon sole.
Deck and Flybridge
This model has the bronze deck hardware and hand rail supports. The teak rails and eyebrows have recently been stripped and varnished and need few cosmetic repairs. The exterior window frames have a fresh coat of paint. On the bow there is a Simpson Lawrence Horizon 900 windlass with an FX23 Fortress anchor. There is also a Danforth and a Delta Plow. Up on the large flybridge the bench seats have forward and aft facing seating. There is a double at the helm and a single on the port side. The navigation equipment is mounted forward of the wheel with storage beneath the full width of the bridge. There is storage beneath both bench seats. The Helm area is covered by a maroon bimini with side curtains. The bimini and matching weather cloths are in very good condition. On the transom there is a custom Dinghy mount/launch system which holds the 10ft Avon 3.11. The 8hp Yamaha outboard is on a seperate bracket to starboard. The 2 watertanks are accessed easily through the aft lazarette hatches.
