Painting the deck on a Tripp 41

The Tripp 41 below was painted with Awlcraft 2000. The normal way to paint a deck is to lay non-skid where people will be walking and smooth surface everywhere else. The smooth surface is much easier to keep clean than the Awlgrip. In the photo below (left), the owner has laid out where he wants the nonskid to be. The painter first painted the whole deck however, which is much easier. He then painted the non skid over the gloss coat.
